made it

I survived the weekend. phew. So the lunch setup wasn't as horrible as it could be - my sister went too which helped. I ended up sitting across from the guy's mom which was a bit weird but the older folks let us just chat on our side of the table. The only thing was that the parents were getting along too well - they dragged out the lunch to 2 hours. Both the guy and I were getting antsy by that point. About the guy: he seemed nice enough but it turns out he lives at home still with his parents and he's 35. Huh. His excuse was that it just seemed easiest at the time and there was no reason for him to find his own place. Huh. Anyhow, he loves sports so he and my sister had stuff to talk about. Lunch was sushi which unfortunately made me seem very picky since they ordered food for the whole table and I wanted to get my own entree. I don't think that made a good impression with the mom. When we were done with lunch and were standing around outside, I realized my sister was the tallest person there (she's 5' 5). She was asking me why all the guys I get setup with are so short - my response is that all the tall Chinese guys are taken already. Clearly.
