kayaking

So I had completely forgotten that my sister had booked us on a kayaking trip to Point Reyes until this week. Since I was still basically hacking up a lung, I wasn't too enthralled with the idea but at least it was somewhere new I hadn't kayaked before. My last couple trips to Point Reyes were all to Tomales Bay and really there isn't much to see there. Here we were in Drake's estero and got to see lots of sea lions. We both got single kayaks too (yay!) and it was an all women outing. I haven't done an all women trip before and the biggest difference was the meandering everyone did on the water. There was much of the floating and pointing out of different sights. Was kind of nice plus the weather was beautiful. Unfortunately, I didn't appreciate the slow pace on the way back since I was in a hurry plus the wind had picked up. You could say I was a bit cold. Speaking of the weather, why is it still so warm here? When will it ever snow in Tahoe??
