Random thoughts from the wedding

Figured I should have a blog post about the wedding so here goes. These are just random thoughts from what I remember.

What was really fun was hanging out with the girls in the fabulous house onsite beforehand. It was awesome getting girl time together before the big event. Walking down the aisle at nestldown was a lot of fun too b/c of the dramatic effect plus every row was short so I got to see tons of people during the walk down. Including 2 people I hadn't invited so I was a bit perplexed trying to figure out where they would be sitting (turns out one person took the place of my cousin's husband who didn't come and the other found a seat at another table).

At the end of the wedding, C's mom turned to me and said "Good job. You guys did a nice wedding". That was unexpected but made me really happy.

We got to eat leftover wedding cake the next day during lunch. Yum - strawberry shortcake.

My mom kept wanting me to setup my cousin with Don - and I told her in response that I thought I may be just a tad busy on my wedding day. She continued on this train of thought the day after the wedding tho after she found out that D's parents are friends with our family friends as well. So now he is a properly approved taiwanese boy. Don't worry D, I keep telling her that I don't think you guys are a match but maybe she'll find some other girls to throw at you.

I had never written any yelp reviews before but after the wedding, we spent some time writing reviews of everything from the florist to the plumber we used to fix our sprinklers. I can't bring myself to write a review of the caterer though because it just makes me too irritated so I'm leaving that to C to do since I think he'll be more fair about it. In case you didn't know, we were annoyed with our caterer a few weeks before the wedding due to some unexpected changes and issues. But I won't get into that b/c I'm trying to stay calm here.

What was weird to me is that for a day or two after the wedding, I was just still so anxious. I couldn't eat the whole day after and finally got my appetite back a few days later. Now I'm eating like a pig of course so that's all back to normal. Of course, if my parents saw me, they'll think I've gained weight because I'm pregnant or something. What was amusing to me though was that since I booked the Tollhouse inn for the wedding night under my name, the hotel kept calling us Mr and Mrs S.

For me, I must deal with the process of changing my name in the next couple of weeks which I'm sure will be tedious as all hell.
