| Flower trail |
We walked a little on the flower trail near the playground before lunch to pass the time. We just saw tons of trails in the distance - the scale of hiking was massive. I wish we had a backpack carrier so we could have done more hiking in the area.
After lunch at the restaurant there, we headed off to hike the children's adventure trail. This was all downhill and Christopher complained at first but then realized he loves running down hill so he started sprinting down. And yes he would stand too close to the edges of cliffs and run too fast so there were a few spills. We found the adventure playground along the way on the trail and quite enjoyed it. Though rustic (it was a lot of balancing on logs) - the slide down was pretty fun and fast but the true highlight was the super fast zip line. We all took a turn except for Christopher.
Re-reading the blog post from the blog above about the trail, I realized we didn't turn right like they did after the playground and instead turned left for a sign to Murren. It resulted in us taking a very steep trail back to town which the kids slipped a lot on so possibly going right would have been better. It would have certainly have made the hike longer but it was all downhill which was very nice. Now to work on Hannah's hiking in the bay area more. She did really well in general here. But she probably needs better shoes.
