- Eat only brown rice (or maybe it is no more white rice) - I think the hardest part here will be when eating out. And if we ever want to eat sushi. Hmm, I just had a thought - what about burritos? Perhaps I should just change this to no more white rice at home.
- No more fried food - This is targeted mostly to C since he tends to order more of this sort of stuff when we eat out.
- Cook healthier at home - This is for me because I've unfortunately learned that C likes what I cook more when there is nice fatty stuff in it. Like bacon fried rice.
- Workout more consistently - More for C since I already do this but I really need to be doing more cardio as well which I think I am missing. So for me, this is: swim/hike more.
- Stop eating cereal that changes our milk color - C loves cookie crisp (and frankly who doesn't) but we should be changing our cereal habits since this is what we eat daily. Hmm, what do we do about our 5 existing boxes of cookie crisp, chocolate cheerios, etc... Well I guess we should go through those still.
We need to do this because a certain someone needs to lower his cholesterol and I do not want to become a large blob of fat this year as well. Hmm, I just realized a few of these food rules would be easier to follow if we just didn't eat out. That may be the easiest solution :) Just to start the year right though, we gorged on food at Morimoto's yesterday with a meal of fried rock shrimp (so good!), pork belly rice porridge, spicy crab legs, and fried ice cream. Hopefully that will last us for the rest of this year as our resolutions kick in this week.
