In case you ever wondered what a class 6 rapid looked like. There is one on the middle fork of the American river. We portaged it. Some guides went down. They are crazy. Actually, this picture doesn't make it look as scary as it was.

I wend down this river twice, and twice I asked if I could go down it...and of course they said no. :( But it's quite a scary sight.
