When the sun is out

It was a fabulously warm weekend last sunday and so we met up with CoworkerM and her husband and friends at Rancho San Antonio at 8 am (Yes we woke up earlier on a weekend than a weekday). But I guess everyone else around had the same idea b/c the parking lots were all full so we had to park nearby in the residential area. M and I went on a hike and everyone else went on a 35 mile bike ride up to skyline.

M had never been to rancho san antonio before so I took her on my normal loop past the farm (there were baby goats!) and on the wildcat loop trail. Looping back to the car, I wanted a change in scenery so I took her on the coyote trail (which was hopefully a little shorter as well) but somehow it didn't take us back to the farthest parking lot as I thought. I uploaded the route afterwards and realized where I made the wrong turn. We should have gone straight on the coyote trail instead of left. Oops. Well now I know for next time. Our total mileage was 6.7 miles and my feet were really feeling every mile for the rest of the day.
