But C came to the rescue and said he had exactly the thing for this and pulled out this closet organizer which he had no space for (we have small closets). Then I thought maybe I could rummage in our other closets and see what shelving we had laying around so I found some long shelves and a taller shelving tower and stuck that in the closet. Awesome.

I started sorting all the clothes into onesies, hats, bottoms, and tops into the closet organizer but quickly realized that there were so many clothes that at the end, I just put them wherever they fit. I suppose maybe I should sort them between 0-3 months and 3-6 months but I'm betting that will never happen.
The cat is in the closet in this picture.

It felt so good to reuse stuff we already have. Actually the whole shopping for baby gear has been interesting. C's parents have been wanting to buy stuff but so far we've either repurposed other furniture that was in the house (a lounging chair will be the rocker) or bought/been gifted used stuff. We bought the crib used from someone at work (tho I guess baby bargains advises against that) and when I went to the person's house, she tried to sell me a ton of stuff that she no longer needed as well (she had 3 kids) so I ended up with a cradle swing, high chair and bumbo seat as well. C's parents gave us a portable bassinet from 30 years ago that his brother used and this last weekend we went to to babies r us and traded it in for 25 % off a pack n play so that worked out nicely. Hopefully, they won't ask us where their bassinet went...
Next step is to try and figure out what to do with all the stuff that used to be in this room.
