So people have been saying I've not been posting enough with which I respond "I don't have that much to say." Well here's an attempt to entertain you. So my office overlooks 380 and seems so close to the freeway that it almost seems like if a car went off the road it would hit us. But hopefully that won't happen. Yesterday with all the high winds, the freeway exit sign fell down and tore into two pieces. Of course being the rubbernecking/car crash watching people that we are, we all immediately went and peered out the window to see if any cars would hit the sign or if there would be an accident. Yes we are evil. There were sounds of "aww man" when a big rig swerved onto the shoulder to avoid the sign but failed to make contact. Of course another coworker did call it in to Caltrans and the CHP appeared within the next 15 minutes and parked near the center divider. He then proceeded to enter the highway (the dude is crazy!) and almost got killed by one car but was able to hold up all 380 eastbound traffic as he moved the sign into the right shoulder.
This was our excitement for the day.
