mickey mouse

I basically spent all monday traveling to LA to get to disneyland for our company trip. I flew out of san jose which was clearly overwhelmed by the number of people that the checkin line was out to the garage. And it was COLD! After being in that line for over an hour, I finally got to the checkin counter to discover that they didn't have a boarding pass for me. Apparently there was another person with my same last name on the flight and they kept asking me if I was sure that I didn't go by another name (meaning an american name). They sure did want to give me this other girl's boarding pass. You would think I would know my own name. Anyhow, luckily there was still a seat left on the flight so they just issued me another ticket. (Hmm, i wonder who paid for that - anyhow, not my problem).

On tuesday, we got passes to go to both Disneyland and california adventures and I spent the day with V (my crazy loud coworker) and S who hadn't been to disneyland before so they had an itinerary all mapped out. The indiana jones ride was new to me and the best part was at the end with the boulder. The matterhorn was not as scary as I remember as a kid and space mountain was pretty darn awesome. And scarily efficient. That was the fastest line in the world. As you can imagine, we were pretty exhausted so had to nap before we came back again. We had disneyland and california adventures rented out for the night for us and got to watch the fireworks display while eating dinner. We then headed over to california adventures for the open bar and of course that's where we ran into the rest of the people we knew. Lushes they all are.

We then went on the last ride of the night which I have to say is the best. I don't remember going on this before or maybe I cannot remember (U, did we ride this before?) but it was the Tower of terror. Basically it's a freefall drop but in short spurts. They take you up and show you the outside (you are sitting in an elevator like thing). Then they drop you 4 floors, then another 4 floors and then you go back up and get dropped a couple more times. There was an insane amount of screaming. I think the freakiest thing for me is that all that is holding you in is a lapbelt so basically i was rising up against this thing the whole time (and of course clutching for dear life to the handle next to me). Anyhow, it was fun and way better than typical freefall rides since there was a theme and scenery.

hmm, I don't remember this Tower of Terror you speak of. Sounds like fun though!
