You know, I thought I knew the dating rules but clearly I do not. So after my lunch with one of the setup guys over a month ago, I was interested in meeting up with him again so sent him a followup email a week and a half later (didn't want to seem too eager of course). This resulted in no response so I just assumed this meant that he wasn't interested. Today over a month later, I get an email from him asking if I wanted to have lunch sometime in the next couple of weeks (clearly he's not in a hurry). His email didn't make any mention of my followup email so now I'm wondering if it got lost in the ether.
I feel like I'm in a time warp, isn't the guy supposed to follow up within the next week or two after an outing to indicate if they are interested? What's this month later thing? I can barely remember what we talked about that long ago. It'll be like a first date all over again. Hey, I can be like that girl in 50 first dates but my 50 first dates will be over the span of a couple of years.
My other beef is that the venue will be lunch again. Not that food isn't good but it would be nice to do something different. Alas, clearly my expectations are too high and the dude wants to keep it casual.

A month is too long. Throw this guy out the door. He obviously has been doing something else in that month.
