double the fun
So G had mentioned a month or two ago that she might know a couple who could set me up. It was a sort of convoluted chain of connections but basically her real estate agent knew this couple in their 30's who just happened to have a few single male friends. They meant to set G up but G thought they might be more appropriate for me since she thought they would be younger than her. In any case, this is how it came to be that I was at Zibbibo's to be setup with 2 guys. It was a 7 person dinner (me, G, the 2 guys, the couple and the real estate agent). I was really pleasantly surprised or else I have been scarred by all the parental setups but I found both the guys to be really nice, funny, and easy to talk to. And they were cute. Unfortunately they also seem to be really good friends so I have no idea what they were told about this dinner. "Let's have dinner - there will be two random girls there". Hmm. In any case, that gives me hope that there are still really cool single guys out there.

but - here's the important part - did you get a follow up?
Unfortunately no. And for some reason when I ask people if they think I should just follow up myself, everyone seems to think a girl pursuing someone is a bad thing.
I don't see what's wrong with a girl pursuing a guy... Besides, some guys are clueless.
