suspicious behavior

I was trying to buy some items today off of S/G's gift registry but had my citibank card declined twice so I finally switched to another credit card. 10 minutes later, I get a call with an automated message from citibank asking to verify my activity. The first verification was the registry shopping so I said yes (I hope that didn't cause a second auth to go through or anything). But the verification that followed after that was for a large purchase at some clothing store. That did sound suspicious so I went and looked it up on my credit card bill and it was for my wedding dress!

Clearly credit cards and wedding expenditures do not mix.
