So we did Tour de peninsula yesterday with lots and lots of other folks. The usual crowded madness but in freezing weather this time. That was probably the coldest riding I've done in a while and for the first time, I left my windbreaker at home. Darn it.
What was cute was when we saw these two kids pedaling up the hill and the brother had to tell his sister to keep the pace down because the parents were falling too far behind. Awesome. Also really funny was when we saw this dad towing his kid on a mountain bike and he was clearly hurting. When we stopped at the light, I heard the dad telling his kid "can you please try pedaling more?". So I guess it does help. He hadn't even started the climb up Ralston yet.
