From the last post to now, it's been quite eventful:
November we went to V/S's wedding in honolulu. First time babyH ever went on a plane and she was a superstar. Then we tried to have her sleep in a pack n play at night and she screamed like a banshee and proceeded to wake up all night. Hmm. Luckily we had no actual plans during the days we were there except to go out and eat and we discovered that cheerios was the solution to everything during the day.
December was the holidays. Once again we found that babyH doesn't sleep well when not in her crib but this time it just meant super early wakeups at 5am which was a bit more tolerable. It also helped with us driving to LA and going out and about because her poor sleeping meant she passed out the minute the car moved. One of C's friends upon meeting babyH called her the trick baby - the one who makes others want to have children because she is so mellow. We also had plenty of family and friends asking if we would have a dragon baby (the answer is NO). We came to realize that babyH is super good which means we would have a devil child as number two.
And now in January, we took our annual trip to Sundance without the baby. She stayed at home with my parents who seemed to have indulged her every whim including her refusal to nap. Apparently she went all morning and early afternoon refusing to nap until she gave up the battle and passed out in the high chair. Now that just doesn't look comfortable.

I for some reason thought I could catch up on sleep on this trip but the 5-6 hours of sleep a night continued and I still couldn't nap well. I guess I will always be this sleepy... until we can teach this kid to sleep in. But at least I'm more or less used to it now. Now if I could only stop yawning so frequently.
