So we took a cruise over thanksgiving with my parents from Lisbon. This cruise was way more luxurious than any we had taken before. Our last cruise was in an interior room with 3 people crammed in near the engine room of the ship. This time we had a room with a balcony and everything seemed spacious in comparison. Unfortunately it wasn't as relaxing as it could have been since we were signed up for excursions every day and had to wake up early.
I did love the canary islands though and would have loved to be on our own there. Having to stick with a slow tour group was kind of excruciating. Mt teide was awesome though and had tons of hiking around - just wish we had had more time. Then again, it started raining halfway through the day so maybe it was just the right amount of time.
