Various people have asking me how it has been with 2 and I can honestly say having a newborn this time around is easier. I'm up more times at night and he seems to be a crappier sleeper but I am also just way more relaxed. It also helps that he is a simple creature who just eats, cries and sleeps whereas dealing with toddlerH and her tantrums requires a 100 times more patience. I'm also more willing to cosleep a little to survive the night which helps a lot. I actually look forward to retreating to my room away from toddlerH when it is time to nurse in order to catch up on a kindle book.
Of course on those days where toddlerH is also at home with me is a bit painful but we try to keep her occupied as much as possible. Unfortunately she is watching a TON of tv. Like hours and hours due to the many grandparents who are all around to "help".
What I find kind of funny is when I hand the new baby over to my parents to inlaws to hold for a bit while I go deal with toddlerH or something else, they eventually come back to me to hand back the screaming baby. I guess for them, dealing with the toddler is preferred over this baby who is hard to soothe without the ball or carrier.
