So frankly, I think it's good that gas price has gone up though I think it's unfortunate for those who don't have a choice in driving to work and hard on the economy. What I find good for it is that it's finally gotten me off my ass and biking to work. My commute to work is 60 miles round trip so as you can imagine, a tank of gas was barely lasting a week. Today, I had to wake up early and bike to mt view to catch a 9am shuttle up to the office in San Bruno. So my overall commute was kind of long but I got to read my new Kindle and nap a little.
I think I can maintain this if I get into the habit of waking up earlier (easy to do right now since my parents are visiting and they make a loud racket early). I also need a larger bike casual wardrobe since I don't change my clothes once I get to work (don't worry, I don't sit that close to other people. well we'll see if they complain). So yay shopping!
